Jeff's Exalted Game
The sorcerer spends a scene in meditation on the layout and workings of the area’s geomantic forces. As she focuses on the dragon lines, she rolls Intelligence + Occult with Essence automatic successes to determine the number of motes she can draw, and she can then store the gathered energy in the form of a pool of temporary motes condensed in a 5 mile area. Once she begins shaping a spell in that location, she may draw on the power she has harvested, pulling the stored motes into her workings. Stored motes are converted to sorcerous motes on a one-to-one basis normally, but are converted into two sorcerous motes when casting the sorcerer’s control spell. The sorcerer must wait until she’s had a full night’s sleep before she can attempt to condense geomantic Essence again.
When the sorceror sleeps alongside a dragon line or other source of geomantic power, she awakens with an extra (Intelligence) sorcerous motes available for that day.
Whenever the sorcerer takes a shape sorcery action, she may draw an additional (Essence) motes from any dragon lines or geomantic energy sources within long range, coaxing their power into her spell. This increases to (Essence x 2) motes when shaping a spell in a manse or demense.
